What is an SSD drive? Put simply, solid state drives, or SSDs for short, are fast types of persistent memory drives. This means the data contents will not be erased when power is nonexistent. When compared to an older style mechanical hard drive, SSDs can perform much faster and are more reliable as there are no mechanical spinning disks that can become damaged if knocked.

Our upgrade prices include all necessary upgrade parts, including a 3.5″ to 2.5″ drive bay converter, hard drive temperature sensor, data cables & the latest MacOS install that your iMac will accept.

While we have your iMac stripped down, we will perform free internal cleaning to ensure your iMac will continue to work for years to come.

Want an exact replica of your old hard drive cloned to your new SSD drive?

To minimise downtime and keep your data intact, we can clone your old drive to a new SSD. The price to complete this service is an extra £50.

We can normally complete iMac SSD upgrades within 2-3 days.

Is your Mac dead, not powering on or intermittently turning off?

The cause could be a power supply problem or a logic board fault.

Because of the nature of the problem, we will need to diagnose the exact fault.

This may take time, approx 3-7 working days.

Repair costs for this particular power problem depend on the Mac model. Typical Mac power faults are repaired from £125.

We will need to spend time diagnosing and will always come back to you with a final price before committing to a repair.

iMac screens don't often go wrong, but when they do, it's quite obvious. iMacs can suffer from cracked glass, damaged LCD panels, lines on the screen or intermittent screen loss.

Generally, Macs are pretty solid on the software front. From time to time, software does become corrupt for one reason or another and so may need a helping hand.

We offer OS reloads, data backup and retrieval, virus & spyware removal, email issue resolution and much more.

Software-only repairs are charged by the hour at £50.

You’re welcome to drop your Mac in with us or send it via post or courier.

When your Mac arrives at our workshop, we will make a note of your Mac and your details on our database.

We will inspect and repair your Mac normally within 3-5 working days, although times may increase during busy periods.
